For Corporate Video Teams Wistia · Vimeo · Brightcove · YouTube / Web mode · WCAG 2.1 AA
The European Accessibility Act took effect mid-2025. HHS compliance deadlines for healthcare organizations are active. WCAG 2.1 AA is the baseline — not a stretch goal.
Corporate · Web · Wistia · Vimeo · Brightcove

Your video. WCAG-grade. Minutes, not days.

Stop waiting on your accessibility vendor. Upload your corporate video, get captions and an audio-description package back in minutes, drop into Wistia or Vimeo, ship.

The old way

Days of waiting
for files you
need right now.

Your production team finishes the video. Now someone has to send it to an accessibility vendor, wait for a quote, wait for the project to get assigned, wait for the writer, wait for the VO session, wait for the mix — and three to seven business days later, a file lands in your inbox that still needs to be uploaded to your video platform by hand.

That's if everything goes right.

Captions VTT + SRT

Accurate closed captions sized to the 42-character/line web convention — what accessibility auditors expect for WCAG 2.1 AA compliance. Timestamps come from word-level transcription, not block-level guessing. Delivered as both VTT and SRT — upload whichever your platform accepts.

Works with: Wistia · Vimeo · Brightcove · YouTube
/ 02

AD script

A professional audio-description script timed to fit your dialogue gaps. Present tense, objective, broadcast-AD voice. PDF and plain text included so your team can review and edit before publishing.

Works with: any platform — review before attaching
/ 03

AD voiceover (mixed)

The new piece. Web mode produces ad-mixed.mp3 — your AD narration laid on top of your source audio, with the source ducked ~30% during each cue. Drop straight into Wistia's audio-description upload, or use as the source for a Vimeo separate-audio track. No post-production session needed.

Works with: Wistia (matches AD upload format) · Vimeo · Brightcove

Standalone VO + ZIP

Every file, named consistently, bundled in one download. The standalone ad-voiceover.mp3 ships too — use it as the source for a custom mix on platforms that want separate tracks, or as the reference for your editor.

Works with: any custom-mix workflow
Where it goes

Built for the
platforms you
already use.

/ Wistia

Wistia

Accepts VTT or SRT for captions. Accepts a mixed MP3 for audio description (source + narration in one file). Web mode produces this file by default.

/ Vimeo

Vimeo

Accepts VTT/SRT captions and a separate audio-description track, uploaded in Distribution → Accessibility. Use the standalone voiceover (or the mixed file if their UI accepts it).

/ Brightcove

Brightcove

Enterprise video platform. Accepts VTT captions and separate audio-description tracks. Post Slate ships both.

/ YouTube

YouTube

Accepts SRT and VTT caption uploads. YouTube does not support a native AD audio track — your standalone voiceover + script serve as a manual-mix reference.

Your team

If you manage
corporate video,
this is for you.

In-house video teams

You produce training, onboarding, town halls, brand films. Legal has started asking about ADA compliance. You need a faster answer than "we're working on it."

Marketing & brand teams

Product demos, campaign videos, exec content — all of it embeds via Wistia or Vimeo. If a viewer or regulator checks, it needs to be compliant.

Corporate production companies

You produce for enterprise clients and they're putting WCAG in the SOW. Deliver a compliance package on every job without adding a vendor to your workflow or days to your timeline.

Common questions

Anything else?

Q.01Will the captions meet WCAG 2.1 AA?
WCAG 2.1 SC 1.2.2 (Captions, Prerecorded) requires synchronized, accurate captions for prerecorded audio. Post Slate's web mode delivers exactly that: word-accurate timestamps from professional transcription, sized to the 42-character/line web convention auditors expect. Use the VTT or SRT output — both meet AA.
Q.02Doesn't Wistia's built-in auto-caption cover this?
Wistia's auto-captions are ASR-generated. For accessibility audits and WCAG AA compliance, accuracy and timing matter — and ASR routinely falls below the threshold. Wistia also doesn't auto-generate audio description. For AD you must upload a mixed MP3 yourself. Post Slate produces both, accurately, in minutes.
Q.03What's the difference between broadcast and web mode?
Broadcast mode targets ad-trafficking systems (Extreme Reach, FreeWheel, Netflix, Disney+) and outputs FCC-spec 32-char captions plus TTML and SCC sidecars. Web mode targets platform uploads (Wistia, Vimeo, Brightcove, YouTube) and outputs 42-char captions plus the mixed AD MP3 Wistia expects. You choose at upload.
Q.04Can I use this for long-form — training series, town halls?
Yes, up to 10 minutes per upload. The credit model scales with length. For longer content, split into segments at chapter boundaries or about custom pricing.
Q.05Does my video content stay private?
Your video is uploaded to private storage for processing. Files are not used for training and are not shared with third parties.
